I was disappointed not to have advanced to the semi-final round of agent, Lilla Rogers' GTS (global talent search) this year, but in lieu of focusing on the next assignment, I was free to - 1. Work on a commercial, outside for 3 days, where I got my 1st tan of the summer and 2. Stumble upon a pair of old roller skates on my walk from the subway to Steiner Studios one morning. That inspired me to paint a series of vintage objects (found by cute animals, of course ;)
Oh yeah, and my new Progressives arrived! I'm still adjusting, but so far, so good.
Below, pretty pets painted on wood circles. I think these would make sweet dessert plates.
I love my little Brooklyn studio, but I like to fantasize about a seaside studio with a sweet garden :)
Summery sea life ...
Alas, I never tire of painting flowers or faces.
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
It's Back to School for many of my friends who are parents and those who teach. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends who flee the city in summer and I welcome the cooler weather.
Cheers! xo, A
